The last edition of the Caixa de Pandora project took place at the end of 2021 and was the first solo show by carioca artist Marcela Cantuária in São Paulo. The exhibition Esperança Equilibrista, presented eighteen paintings, among other works, that are part of Oráculo Urutu, a project in collaboration with photographer Pedro Garcia.
"Urutu'' was developed from the instinctive selection of poetic fragments of Brazilian works of literature, poetry, music and visual arts. The choice of these productions symbolizes different times and regions of the country in textual expressions that have almost become cultural heritage of Brazil.
Composed of 38 cards/paintings, 'Urutu' works without traditional archetypes, but with a blank canvas of possibilities. Just like the snake that "bites the boats" - as the origin of its name in Tupi-Guarani says - each work offers the opportunity to dive into a universe of feelings and emotions and return with answers to deeper questions, brought by our poetry inside.”

To close yet another edition, Kura announces the launch of the multiple Oráculo Urutu, in partnership with Carbono gallery. This collaboration was developed for the edition of multiples of Caixa de Pandora: a work that is an offshoot of the intervention project of a contemporary artist within the Ivani and Jorge Yunes Collection. The multiple is a record of the project, produced exclusively as an extension of the temporary exhibition to permanently reside in other collections.
