Artist Career Management : Creative and Conceptual Guidance

Understanding that the creation, realization, and circulation of artistic works demand different strategies and processes, Kura's Artistic Accompaniment aims to create an environment of support and exchange across all aspects of the artistic process and its insertion into the market. With a multi-skilled team, our Artistic Accompaniment stands out for its personalized management service while simultaneously providing collective experiences that enhance those experiences of the artists included in the portfolio.
Here we have collected the frequently asked questions about the Artistic Accompaniment service, answered by our team.

What does the Artist Career Management service involve? How can it help artists develop and mature their creative processes?
The Artist Career Management service provides guidance and support in different stages of artistic creation. It takes place through individual online meetings, via Zoom, with occasional visits to the artist's studio. The online meetings allow for greater scope of the service, reaching artists in other states, and even countries. With a multidisciplinary team with different interests and specialties, the artist finds a space of support and exchange, gaining the opportunity to develop their work more assertively, with more focus and depth, maturing their creative process both creatively and conceptually.
What is the main difference between Kura's Artist Career Management and others available in the market?

Kura's Artist Career Management happens through individual meetings, with direct communication between the artist and our team. It also provides support in applying to open calls, portfolio development, as well as extra services focused on exhibitions and social media. There is therefore an exclusivity in the exchanges we provide, a distinguishing feature in the art world.

What are the principal and additional services included?
The principal services included in the service are accompaniment of the creative process; conceptual and critical discussions on the work; research and presentation of references for the artistic work; portfolio development; production of critical texts on pieces, projects, and exhibitions; applying for residencies, salons, open calls, and awards (depending on career stage); support in project development; pricing of work according to the market; and a general meeting of artists enrolled in the service with an art world representatives.
Additional services, meanwhile, include curatorship, exhibition design and production, guidance and planning of strategic content for social media (Instagram), and understanding the digital environment as a space to exhibit work.
What are the main benefits of the service in the medium and long-term?

The Artist Career Management service has many benefits. In our opinion, the main benefit is the development of research and creative processes and sharing of artistic work, from the initial idea through to exchanges and conversations in an already realized exhibition. This development varies according to the pace of each artist and could be a short, medium, or long-term benefit. On another level, with our team taking care of the more "bureaucratic" aspects of circulating artistic work, we notice that artists have more time and availability to focus on their primary activity - creation. This benefit is immediate and extends into the medium and long-term as, with our input, the artist no longer has to worry about editing their own portfolio, writing texts about their work, and applying to open calls, for example.

What is the difference between accompaniment and gallery representation? Is this service suitable for artists with and without representation?
Among many other functions, gallery representation focuses on divulging and selling works produced by represented artists. Accompaniment, meanwhile, is directed towards consolidating and materializing the work, both practically and conceptually. It is a more intimate exchange involving the creative process and research development. For this reason, this service does not interfere with gallery representation and is highly recommended for artists who already have that relationship.
What are some of the main projects Kura has realized with artists as part of the career management service?
We have been fortunate enough to share some great experiences with artists enrolled in our service. We have realized exhibitions in museums, galleries, and both public and independent spaces. We have also been successful in open calls and in partnerships with key names in fashion and architecture.
